I am a recently retired Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with many years of clinical experience in all aspects of mental health treatment.
I worked 35 years for the County of Marin Community Mental Health Services, including 18 years in the Outpatient Medication Clinic. I managed psychotropic medications for a caseload of over 250 clients. After retiring from Marin County, I worked nine years at Marin Community Clinic managing psychotropic medications for clients at this primary care clinic.
I teach Psychopharmacology and the Biological Basis for Behavior at Sonoma State University graduate Counseling Department in Rohnert Park, California, and at The Wright Institute in Berkeley, California.
I was an academic advisor, a mentor, and a guest lecturer at the University of California, San Francisco, Graduate School of Behavioral Health Nursing. I was an adjunct professor at the University of San Francisco School of Nursing. I am a 1996 inductee into the Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing Honor Society.
